Funny how I can’t tell if it’s Boudica or Nit who supposedly come from a village of loosers.
I think nit
“Crom! I’ve never prayed to you before…I have no tongue for it…”
Are there not hidden “Skadi”s in the first frame anymore?
In this one no but in the previous ones they were just a real pain to find(IE: it was top to bottom last panel, but slightly angled to the right.
I honestly hope I’m not the only one who hopes Skadi absolutely murders Nit by the end of this arc. Not Bou though. She cool.
Am I the only one who can’t find “Skadi” in the first panel?
Nope, I screwed up and forgot to add it. You guys caught me!
The plot thickens
Why is it that Skadi won’t just release herself? I seriously have problems believing a chain is enough to hold her, seeing what she had done before on the comic.
It seems like the plot point is very forced, “Ok, I need Skadi to go here with her enemy” and then you just do that with no regard for the context.
Like; What would the little twerp do if Skadi doesn’t obey her, hit her?, how much can she hurt her, we know for a fact that she is pretty weak.
I don’t know, I don’t see how this makes sense, feels weird.
I’m sorry you aren’t enjoying this arc! Honestly, as this story has to wrap up a ton of loose ends in Skadi, it’s been a bit difficult to write. But despite that, it’s been one of the most fun to draw for me personally.
It’s difficult to explain my intentions and answer the readers’ critical questions without sounding defensive, so I won’t try. Just know that I have thought about things and made conscious decisions about how to tell the story, and if they don’t come across on their own, then perhaps I need to keep working at telling stories through comics. I intend to do that, so hopefully future comics will be more to your liking. :]
I think you are paying too much attention to details. If the chains that hold Skadi is what catches your attention at this point of the story, then it’s like you’ve missed the point about the type of comic Skadi is.
It is meant to be a bit silly, characters will lose their hair (like diseasoid) in one story, and it will have grown back by the next one.
Skadi isn’t the same character as the one that started the comic, and judging from Kate’s recent post about a hiatus after this storyline, she will continue to change.
For example, this recent Skadi seems to be a bit moodier. Personally, I thought she hasn’t gone berserk yet because she’s struggling with a rare, unexpected bout of self-pity. She just can’t work up the energy to get mad about chains. At least for now.
